Emergengy Routes and Exits

Also known as Means of Escape.

Another basic requirement under the Fire Regulations, this is normally provided for by compliance with the Building Regulations and, in certain workplaces, The Fire Precautions Act 1971. However, many workplaces have altered not only the layout of the premises but often the use as well. Either one of these criteria by itself can have a serious effect on means of escape, but together the effect is compounded.

We provide help and advice in determining the needs for means of escape in any workplace and prefer that the employer understands the situation and especially the underlying reasons for such provision.
